CLOUDTENPEDIA - On April 26, 2026, the Central Court at Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama Bayside transformed into a stage for one of the most anticipated entertainment debuts of the year. The occasion was the first public showcase for Cloud ten, a 30-member theater boys group produced by the legendary Yasushi Akimoto. Just three days after their official announcement in Tokyo, the group stepped in front of a live audience for the very first time, marking the beginning of a nationwide tour of shopping facility appearances.

A Bold New Project from Yasushi Akimoto

Cloud ten was born from a collaboration between Y&N Brothers and the Mitsui Fudosan Group, with Akimoto serving as general producer. The project launched with a nationwide audition that began in the summer of 2025, culminating in a final training camp audition held between December and January. By February, the final 30 members had been selected.

The group's name carries a deliberate message. It derives from the phrase "Cloud nine," which signifies the highest state of happiness. By choosing "Cloud ten," the project aims to surpass even that peak, embodying a wish to transcend existing frameworks and limits in pursuit of an even greater joy. The members themselves reflect a remarkably diverse range of backgrounds. Among the 30 are students from the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and Keio University, alongside a national dance champion, a trained chef, and an athlete with national sports festival experience.

Inside the Yokohama Bayside Showcase

The event at Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama Bayside was structured in two parts to accommodate the large group and the expected crowd. The first session began at 1:00 PM and featured eleven members: Haruto Abe, Toma Uji, Haru Kitanagi, Haru Kimura, Yamato Korogi, Ryusei Sato, Yamato Seki, Ryu Tomizawa, Iyota Nishiyama, Suzuto Fukushima, and Yusei Fukuda. The second session started at 3:00 PM with another eleven members: Toma Inaba, Seiji Ueno, Raiki Ose, Ayumu Owada, Reku Komai, Yuto Komine, Yamato Seki, Atsushi Nemoto, Genki Hamaya, Aiki Hiraishi, and Ayato Watanabe.

Each session saw the members perform three songs: "Sarigenai Mirai" (Unassuming Future), "Kimi to Someday" (You and Someday), and "Gomen Ai Koso Subete" (Sorry, Love Is Everything). The performances were met with warm cheers from fans who had learned about the group through news reports and social media. A send-off session was also held, giving members their first opportunity to interact directly with supporters.

First Impressions from the Stage

The members' reactions to their debut performances revealed a mixture of nervousness and genuine emotion. Ryusei Sato expressed his happiness at meeting fans for the first time, saying he was truly glad to connect with those who had come to support them. Haru Kimura noted that the presence of so many fans heightened his emotions and expanded the range of his expression on stage. Haru Kitanagi admitted to feeling nervous during the rehearsal but found himself enjoying the performance once he actually stepped onto the stage.

From the second session, Atsushi Nemoto offered his gratitude with a simple observation: the warmth in the eyes of those watching was deeply encouraging. Genki Hamaya remarked that despite it being their first stage, the at-home atmosphere created by the fans made him feel truly welcomed. Iyota Nishiyama was candid about the experience, confessing that standing before fans for the first time made him intensely curious about how his performance was being received.

The Venue: A Central Court with Character

The Central Court at Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama Bayside provided a fitting backdrop for this debut. The space spans over 2,000 square meters and functions as a large-scale outdoor atrium designed to serve as a gathering point adjacent to the Yokohama Bayside Marina. It features a climbing wall and artificial turf rest areas, creating an environment that encourages visitors to linger and enjoy the seaside atmosphere. The venue is easily accessible, located just a five-minute walk from Torihama Station on the Yokohama Seaside Line.

This choice of location was no accident. The event at Yokohama Bayside served as the starting point for a series of showcase events scheduled at commercial facilities across the Kanto region. By bringing the group directly to public shopping spaces rather than restricting early appearances to traditional concert venues, the project allows potential fans to encounter Cloud ten in the course of their daily lives.

A Theater Built for Intimacy and Growth

The Yokohama showcase is only the beginning of a larger vision. On August 2, 2026, Cloud ten will open its own dedicated theater on the sixth floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba. The venue, named Cloud ten THEATER, is designed around the concept of "Off-Broadway" — a reference to smaller, more intimate performance spaces where artists can develop their craft in close proximity to their audience.

The theater seats approximately 300 people and features a distinctive U-shaped seating arrangement that wraps around the stage. The front row is positioned just about one meter from the stage, creating an immersive experience where the audience can feel the performers' expressions and even their breath. The lobby adopts a brick-based design with a deliberately subdued, monochromatic palette, symbolizing a place where new talent grows from zero. Beyond performances, the theater will also house official merchandise sales and special event spaces, functioning as a home base where fans can regularly encounter the members and witness their growth firsthand.

What This Debut Signals for the Group's Future

The rapid pace of Cloud ten's rollout is striking. The project was announced on April 23, the 30 members were introduced to the press the same day, and the first public showcase took place just three days later on April 26. This accelerated schedule reflects a deliberate strategy of building momentum through direct, in-person encounters rather than relying solely on digital promotion. The group's stated goal is ambitious: all 30 members standing together on the stage of Tokyo Dome. Whether that dream materializes will depend on how effectively these early showcase events cultivate a dedicated fanbase.

For now, the Yokohama Bayside event has accomplished something essential. It has transformed Cloud ten from a press release announcement into a lived experience — a moment of first contact between performers and audience that neither side will likely forget. The warmth the members felt from the crowd, and the energy they brought to their three songs, suggest that the foundation for something lasting may indeed have been laid on that April afternoon by the Yokohama waterfront.
